Can the host hear you in breakout rooms Microsoft teams?
I'm happy to help you today. In my experience, hosts or organizers won't be able to hear conversations from breakout rooms where they are not actively in unless they've recorded the meeting. I hope this helps.
Breakout room participants have full audio, video and screen sharing capabilities. The host of the meeting will not be assigned to a breakout room and cannot see or hear what is happening in the breakout rooms during the meeting.
Hosts and co-hosts can join any room by clicking Join. Anyone in a breakout room can click Ask For Help to request that the host join the breakout room. You cannot, however, see or hear what is happening in breakout rooms that you are not in.
Muting all participants
The host or co-host can mute all participants that are already in the meeting, as well as new participants joining the meeting. Click Participants located in the meeting controls.
The host can broadcast their voice to all breakout rooms, to share verbal information with all participants. Note: This must be enabled in your breakout room settings. In the meeting controls, click Breakout Rooms . Click Broadcast, and select Broadcast Voice.
Breakout rooms can turn a passive lesson into interactive, collaborative dialogue for students. But teachers cannot see or hear what is going on in the different rooms easily or quickly.
Participating in the breakout room
You will be able to mute and unmute like you can in the main session.
Each breakout room has its own chat. All of the chats are available in your main Teams Chat list. Here you can chat with the members of any breakout room. After you join a breakout room, you can also select Chat in the room to chat with the people there.
- assign users to rooms,
